Busboys and Filmmakers

At 8:30 tonight at Busboys and Poets the Green Club will premier part of its documentary on where our food comes from. Over the past year they have interviewed the school's lunch provider, followed students into the corner store, and grown some food of their own. As part of a program being presented by DC Schoolyard Greening, a few TMA students will introduce and show the film to a crowd at the Busboys and Poets located at 14th and V.

If you're free and in the U Street area, be sure to check the Green Club out.

  1. It WAS exciting! Keith Jenkins introduced the film and took questions from the audience afterward. One woman in the crowd works at an agriculture school in Pennsylvania and she gave Keith her card so that he could inquire about enrolling. He wants to study horticulture. Zoe, these kids never disappoint.

  2. I was there. It was flattering how interested everyone was in our school, and our club. Our students are paving the way for school food reform.

  4. I wanted to go to this event, but because of my busy schdule, I couldn't make it. Mr. Ullery has done a great job getting the word put about our school's GReen Club. I really hope we will have another Earth Day fair in April, I really learned so much from it, and my classmates did as well. I even used some of the tips I learned like cleaning my room with enviromentally friendly products. It has really worked well for me, thank you Green Club and the Programs Office for your hard work in making the Earth Day fair possible last April.
