This month marks the end of the DC Superior Court Internship, in which TMA students worked one-on-0ne with judges in the DC Superior Court. The students (as always) rocked it. For a glimpse into their thoughts about the experience, check out their classroom blog.
I also would like to participate in this internship once I come of age. I have spoken to Ciara, one of the girls that interned, and she said she had a lovely time and learned so much from the experience. I encouaged her to apply for a congressional internship in the future because if you like interning at the court, then you will love interning on the Hill, and learn alot about the legislative process.
Thurgood Marshall Academy is a public charter high school located in Southeast, DC. Our mission is to prepare students to succeed in college and to actively engage in our democratic society. Since our inception in 2001, we have had a college acceptance rate of 100%.
We are successful, in part, because our students are engaged in meaningful programing that extends beyond the school day. The Other 17 Hours is dedicated to celebrating all of the amazing things that TMA students do outside of the classroom.
